JUNKHEARTS

Frank - an army veteran suffering from combat stress after a stint in Northern Ireland - offers teenage runaway Lynette a place to stay.  It's an offer that will cost him his home, his sanity and possibly his life. A dynamic, taut, and ultimately redemptive dramatic thriller. 
 
 

HONEY AND RAZORBLADES

Starring Shobna Gulati, Celyn Jones, Valerie Gogan and David Found.    

Shot on location in Thailand, a naïve young couple go on holiday to Thailand, where they become entangled with a pair of hedonists.  

The fault lines in their relationship rupture and their personal truths explode.  

Expected to launch on the festival circuit in May/June 2008.

MY HEART LAID BARE

The writer Cheryl Martin is an award winning playwright, poet and singer who was appointed artist-in-residence at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. My Heart Laid Bare is based on the relationship between the French poet Charles Baudelaire and his mixed-raced mistress Jeanne Duval.  

Set in 1840s Paris, My Heart Laid Bare is the story of Jeanne's search for a love that can transform her life and set her soul and mind free, a love that can help her transcend society. Instead she finds a love that is a trap and has to learn that only she can free herself.

Set in a near future where fuel shortages have created economic meltdown and lawlessness. Two terrified survivors of a massacre meet and the themes of revenge and redemption are explored.

Zoned In follows Daniel, an articulate 16 year old in the South Bronx, on his remarkable journey from a state-run school, to a prestigious university, to his return to the South Bronx as a teacher. Against all expectations Daniel took the American dream and made it his own.

Sophie, a teenager with learning difficulties, is a talented pianist. When her best friend Danko enters her into a prestigious composer competition she discovers that the world is not quite ready for her unorthodox musical style.

At 37 Letizia, together with her 3 daughters, left a husband whom she had been married to since the age of 16 and became a journalist. She picked up a camera when she found that she could better sell her articles if they were accompanied by photographs. After years of racing on her Vespa to the crime scenes with her camera, Letizia found she had accumulated an archive of death and decay of Palermo and its citizens.  But simply documenting what was happening wasn't enough for her and so she became and anti-Mafia activist and environmental politician and dedicated her life to the battle for justice.  

BATTAGLIA paints a uniquely intimate portrait of this warrior of a woman. A story of passion, pain and the struggle for freedom.

Shadowscan is a dangerous and at times darkly comic amalgam of genres, taking influences from Lars Von Trier's The Kingdom, horror films and Hindi movies. The film takes us on a breathless, dizzying trip, revealing and uncomfortable, unseen reality about hospital life.

Life as a computer game is the premise of this darkly funny hallucinatory adventure, as three very different characters slam together in the streets of Edinburgh on one strange and dangerous night.   

Random Nights was screened at the 1999 Edinburgh Film Festival to celebrate the launch of Film Four Lab  

Transmitted on Film Four Digital Channel & terrestrial channels as part of the Shooting Gallery.

Today La Muette is a run down council estate in Drancy, a Paris suburb: during WWII 67,000 Jews were interned there on  their  way to the death camps. This dynamic and contemporary film makes history and the past relevant to today in a style   that goes well beyond the boundaries of conventional historical documentaries.

Tinge won the commission to write and direct a commercial for the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield. The Ident was shot on 35mm and trailered each feature presentation at t he Showroom Cinema.

This was the first film by writer/director Tinge Krishnan. Groove is an award winning drama which plunges into the dark history of two women fleeing violent crack dealers in the North of England. Blending harrowing flash backs with a narrative of defiant wit, the film deals with love and tenderness in a world of brutality.
