Anya is in her forties and has Down's Syndrome. She's sweet-natured,
vulnerable and vivacious, prone to wearing too much make up and dressing up.
Her partner Paul is also in his forties and happily describes himself as
having learning difficulties. They live together in a flat in west london.
The film will look at how these two actually have something that a lot of people yearn for. Here are two quirky loving human beings enjoying life and giving each other tender support and love; accepting each other exactly as they are.
Last Sunday we started filming for a small teaser film during Anya's birthday party. Their flat is truely amazing. There are hundreds of photographs and random newspaper articles covering the walls of the flat which makes it seem like you're walking into a huge scrapbook.
We're really excited about the project so we're now just working on how we're going to approch their story and how to structure that over a half an hour film.
We'll keep you posted with how its going.
